Scholarships. Everybody wants one. You’ve heard it said that there is a scholarship for everyone. That’s true. Well, mostly true. There is a scholarship out there for which everyone and anyone can qualify. But, there is A LOT of competition. Millions of students need financial aid and scholarships are considered top prizes (second only to grants) because they do not have to be repaid.

Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, merit (good grades, winning essays or top test scores), athletic or artistic abiility, intended major and extracurricular interests.

The following is a list of scholarship resources. There are plenty of others, but be careful of scams that guarantee you scholarships or charge you money to search or apply.
