College

Why Should You Care About Going to College?

Two words: More Choices. If you graduate from college, you are guaranteed more (and better) choices. College graduates can pick from a variety of career and lifestyle options. College graduates don’t have to accept just any job, or live in just any neighborhood; they can weigh their options and choose the options that best suit them–sky’s the limit!

Studies have proven that college graduates earn over $1 million more in their lifetimes than high school graduates. College graduates are more likely to have health insurance, to travel, to vote, to own a home and to volunteer. College graduates are even more likely to be happier with their lives than high school graduates.

Nearly every goal or dream you might have is more likely to be realized if you attend college.

Okay, this seems like a lot of emphasis on a four-year experience. After all, in the long run, 4 years is not that long. How could it have such a huge impact on your whole life?

Well, unfortunately, the working world is not as open-minded as we might hope. It’s not filled with people willing to take time to “see your potential” and “give you a chance”. Nope, the working world is robotic: They want triangles and will not accept circles, even if circles would actually work just as well. This means that while you may be naturally smart enough to do a certain job with only a little on-the-job training, employers won’t hire you if they believe the job must be done by someone with a college degree.

Think of a college degree as the key to the kingdom. Higher-paying jobs with good benefits, nice homes in safe neighborhoods and exciting vacations in exotic places are virtually inaccessible without a college degree. Sure, you could win the lottery or start the next YouTube or MySpace, but how likely is that (if you’ve already got 75 million subscribers to your social networking site, ignore this)?

Spring4th Educational Services can help you grab hold of your key and unlock the doors to college and career success.
