Spring4th offers a wide variety of career/technical education presentations and workshops. Some are focused on specific industries (i.e. Computers & Technology or Retail), while others focus on entrepreneurship and job search and workplace skills. Here is a sampling of our offerings:

Many of these offerings are combined with our advisory services as part of a comprehensive solution that ensures students are exposed to a variety of career options, that they learn what the labor market and employers demand, and that they are re-energized in their academic studies.

In addition to our advisory services, Spring4th offers supplemental and extracurricular programs that allow students to become immersed in career/technical education. These programs include:

Race for Learning (R4L)Race For LearningRace for Learning is a career/technical education program that provides high school students interested in careers in science, technology, engineering, and auto mechanics an opportunity to learn new business and life skills, and to apply classroom learning in the exciting, fast-paced motorsports field. R4L offers students a unique opportunity to be a part of a professional motorsports team attending racing events, working with the pit crew and participating in and promoting off-track events. Students work directly with the racing team, teachers and/or tutors to complete on-track experiments and activities, and learn more about the careers that make up the motorsports industry.

Main Street MBA (MSMBA) - Main Street MBA is a business training and incubation program for young entrepreneurs and minority small business owners. The goal of the program is to increase the viability and size of businesses owned by new entrepreneurs and small business owners by partnering them with experienced entrepreneurs, business professionals, community leaders and business school students. Entrepreneurs attend classes, participate in peer learning and mentorship activities. They use their own businesses as case studies so they can secure real resources (financial, professional services, etc.) and actually improve their businesses while they complete the program. Benefits include access to funding for startup and growth.

Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP!) – YEP! is an entrepreneurship training program for students age 14-18. YEP! students work with business and community leaders to understand the market, write business plans, develop products and services, raise startup money, start and manage a business. Students may join YEP! in their freshman year of high school and then remain in the program through graduation. Participating in a longer term program ensures that students will have enough time and support to actually create a real business that makes money and creates jobs. Young Entrepreneurs Program

Young Lions Career Network (YLCN) – The Young Lions Career Network is a career training and networking group for career-minded college students and newly employed young professionals. Young Lions meet regularly to discuss career challenges and accomplishments and share successes. Benefits include professional and business training and meet-and-greets with successful executives, entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Summer of Success (SOS) - Summer program that introduces students to social enterprises and nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in our global community. Students will learn about careers that allow them to “do good and live well”, and about scholarship and grant opportunities available for those who volunteer. There are two summer programs, one for students age 15-18, and another for college students age 18-22.

Corner Office – Corner office is an internship, apprenticeship and cooperative education program for students age 16-25. Benefits include gaining valuable job skills, earn money and recommendation letters.
